Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ParityPricer ("ParityPricer", "the App"), a macOS application and related website provided by the ParityPricer developer ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, accessing, or using the App or website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App or website.

These Terms supplement any terms that apply through Apple, including the Apple Media Services Terms and the Apple standard licensed application end user license agreement, unless we provide a separate license agreement through Apple.

The App

ParityPricer is a developer tool that helps app developers view, preview, and manage App Store Connect in-app purchase and subscription prices across global markets. It can calculate market-aware price suggestions using purchasing power parity data, built-in templates, custom templates, and valid App Store price points.

ParityPricer can publish price adjustments to App Store Connect only after you connect your App Store Connect API credentials and choose to publish.

Eligibility and Apple Account Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right and Apple Developer account permissions needed to use the App with any App Store Connect account, app, in-app purchase, subscription, or price schedule.

You are responsible for complying with Apple's agreements, App Store Connect rules, App Review Guidelines, tax requirements, consumer protection rules, and any laws that apply to your app, products, pricing, or subscriptions.

App Store Connect Credentials

To use App Store Connect features, you must provide your own App Store Connect API credentials. You are responsible for creating and managing your API keys, keeping API keys and private key files secure, granting only the permissions needed for your workflow, and revoking keys that are lost, exposed, or no longer needed.

ParityPricer stores credentials in the macOS Keychain and uses them to make requests from your Mac to Apple's App Store Connect APIs. We are not responsible for unauthorized access caused by compromised devices, exposed API keys, incorrect App Store Connect permissions, or misuse of your Apple Developer account.

Pricing Decisions and Publishing

ParityPricer provides tools, calculations, previews, and automation for pricing workflows. You remain responsible for every pricing decision and every price schedule submitted to App Store Connect.

Before publishing, you should carefully review all markets, prices, dates, product selections, and App Store Connect results. Apple may change price tiers, storefront availability, taxes, exchange rates, API behavior, subscription rules, or review requirements at any time.

ParityPricer does not provide legal, financial, accounting, tax, or business advice. Revenue estimates and purchasing power calculations are approximations and may differ from actual proceeds, taxes, commissions, refunds, chargebacks, local pricing behavior, currency conversion, or Apple's final processing.

Subscriptions and Purchases

ParityPricer may offer free usage limits and optional paid Pro subscriptions through Apple's in-app purchase system. ParityPricer Pro may include unlimited previews and App Store price adjustment publishes, access to supported App Store markets and country-specific pricing options, and continued use of PPP, Big Mac, and custom pricing templates for product pricing workflows.

Available subscription products may include ParityPricer Pro Monthly and ParityPricer Pro Annual. Actual prices, currencies, taxes, subscription availability, and renewal terms are shown in the App Store purchase sheet before purchase and may vary by region.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings. Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies.

Your Data and Local Content

You retain ownership of your app data, pricing templates, custom ratios, pricing decisions, and other content you create or load through the App. You grant the App permission to process that information locally and, when you choose to connect or publish, to send necessary requests to Apple services on your behalf.

You are responsible for maintaining backups of important local data. We are not responsible for lost local templates, settings, cache files, credentials, or pricing workspaces. Our handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable Use

• Do not use the App to access App Store Connect accounts, apps, products, or data that you are not authorized to access.
• Do not use the App or website for unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or abusive activity.
• Do not attempt to interfere with Apple services, App Store Connect, StoreKit, or the App.
• Do not reverse engineer, modify, resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the App except where allowed by law.
• Do not circumvent usage limits, purchase validation, security controls, or App Store payment mechanisms.
• Do not upload, enter, or publish content that violates third-party rights or applicable law.

Third-Party Services and Data Sources

The App depends on Apple services, including App Store Connect APIs, StoreKit, and App Store subscription management. These services are controlled by Apple, not by us.

The App may also include or reference public pricing index data, such as purchasing power parity or other regional pricing templates. These data sources are provided for convenience and may be incomplete, delayed, approximate, or unsuitable for your specific business needs.

We do not guarantee that third-party services or data sources will remain available, accurate, complete, or unchanged.

App Changes and Availability

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App or website at any time. Some features may depend on macOS version, App Store availability, Apple Developer account permissions, App Store Connect API availability, StoreKit status, and network connectivity.

We are not responsible for failures, delays, rejected requests, incorrect responses, or unavailability caused by Apple services, your credentials, your account permissions, network conditions, or third-party systems.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, name, interface, documentation, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App to you.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by Apple and applicable law.

Disclaimer

The App and website are provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, non-infringement, and error-free operation.

We do not guarantee that the App will prevent pricing mistakes, preserve App Store Connect schedules, increase revenue, satisfy App Review, or produce any specific business outcome.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill, business interruption, App Store rejection, pricing errors, subscription errors, or unauthorized account activity.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims related to the App, website, or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscription during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the App or website, your App Store Connect account, your pricing decisions, your apps or in-app purchases, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the App or paid features if you violate these Terms, misuse the App, or if required by Apple, law, or security needs. Termination does not automatically cancel App Store subscriptions. You must manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account subscription settings.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Consumer protection laws in your country or region may give you additional rights that cannot be waived by contract.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the App or website after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
